It’s actually pretty simple. Because you deserve a great taxi service for getting from point A to point B. And this is what we want to offer our passengers; a great ride experience, during each and every trip with one of our partner drivers.
Reliability
With every Ride you request, you will first see the minimum and maximum rate that the trip will cost. The price is determined on the basis of the starting rate, the distance and the duration of the Ride. You will therefore never be confronted with surprises. All potential drivers undergo screening and training. The vehicle is also screened. This way you are assured of a hassle-free Ride and you can fully enjoy it!
Safety
As soon as you have requested a Ride, your Rider's profile appears and you can get to know him or her. On the profile you can see the ratings, trip history and compliments from the Rider. You can also see in which vehicle (with license plate number) your Rider will pick you up. It is also possible to follow your Rider from start to finish through the app. Make sure that your location services are turned on.
Customer Service
We offer you the help you need, from an incident to a simple question. After each Ride you can assess the Rider, and have the possibility to leave a compliment. Was the Ride a disappointment? Then you can report this in the app. Our help desk will contact you within 24 hours and will take the necessary steps to improve your future trips.

Registration procedure
As a passenger you can register via our app which is available on the Play Store and App Store. To sign up, you can use your telephone number, Facebook or Google account. If you use Facebook you will still need to add your mobile number to receive a message with our verification code. This code is your temporary password which you can edit afterwards. We strongly encourage to personalize your account with your name and profile picture of yourself.

Meet your Rider
After requesting your trip, your Rider's profile appears and you can get to know him or her. On the profile you can see the ratings, trip history and compliments from the Rider. You can also see in which vehicle (with license plate number) your Rider will pick you up.

Payment
Pay the Rider in cash after the trip ends. The costs of the trip depends on the base rate, duration and distance of the trip. Keep in mind that the price may increase when you make extra stops. Was the service good and are you satisfied with your journey? Then you can reward your Rider with a tip.

Rating and compliments
After every trip you take with Ride you are obligated to rate the Rider. We use a 1-to-5-star rating system, with 5 stars being the highest that the Rider can achieve. After rating the trip, you have the opportunity to compliment the Rider. You can choose from different badges. Choose the badges that best describe your experience. Riders do their best to make the passengers happy, so give them a compliment if they deserve it.

Application
Downloading the Ride app
Don’t wait too long and download the Ride app for free. The Ride apps are available on the App Store for iOS devices and on the Play Store for Android devices.

Account and profile
Create an account
To create an account you will need a valid Surinamese mobile number.

Follow these steps to create an account:
Download the App on your iOS or Android device
Fill in the required fields and register
Through SMS you will receive a 4-digit verification code to verify your mobile number
Your number has been verified and you are ready to use Ride

We strongly recommend you to personalize your account with your name and profile picture of yourself.

Edit profile
When you request a trip, your profile will be shown and the Rider who accepts the Ride can view your profile. You can easily change your profile photo, first and last name and the password that is linked to the Ride app.

Steps to edit your profile:
Go to menu (in the top right corner)
Click on “Edit my profile”. You can now change the following:
Profile photo (GIF-animations are not supported)
First name
Last name
Password

Change or reset password
Do you want to change your password for some reason? Then follow the steps below:
Go to menu (in the top right corner)
Then click on “Edit my profile”
Enter your password twice
Then click on “Save profile”
Your new password is now set

Have you forgotten your password? Then follow the steps below:
Click on “forgot password” and fill in your mobile number
Then click on “send reset code”
Through SMS you will receive a verification code
Log in with the verification code and change your password afterwards

Star rating
After each trip, drivers leave a star rating behind for their passengers. Other Riders can see your ratings too. If your ratings are bad Riders can reject your trip requests.

Trip history
On “My Trips” you will find an overview of all the trips that you have made with Ride.

Steps to view your trip history:
Open the Ride app
Go to menu (top right corner in the app)
Then click on “My Trips”
Choose a trip to view its details. The most recent trip is viewed at the top by default

Account settings
To view your account settings you first need to click on your profile-icon (top right corner the app). Then choose the option with the settings you wish to adjust.
Edit my profile: edit your basic information such as your first and last name. You can also change your password
Sounds: the app can be put on silent mode
Weather Info: if this function is turned on, the weather of the moment will be shown on the homepage. Please note that your location must be switched on
Notifications: you will receive push notifications from Ride if your “Notifications” is switched on. This includes notifications about updates and new features

Extra passengers
Every trip you make you can take a maximum of 3 fellow passengers with you. No extra costs will be charged. You pay per trip, not per passenger.

Lost and found
Did you leave something behind in the car of the Rider? Contact us as soon as possible and give us the reference number of the trip, so that we can find out in which car you left your stuff behind. You also need to send a clear description and a picture of the items. As soon as we have found your stuff, we will contact you.

Payment
Trip price calculation
With Ride you know in advance how much your trip will cost. All you have to do to find out how much your trip will cost is to enter your pick-up location and destination. Confirm the trip when you are sure that you want to make the trip. When the costs are being calculated, traffic and other circumstances are not taken into account. In case you make extra stops during the trip, the final price may differ from the price that you were shown in advance.

The starting rate during the day is SRD 8 and in the evening it is SRD 9. Furthermore, the price depends on the duration and distance of the trip. The costs applies to a trip for a maximum of 4 passengers.

Trip payment
Payment for the trip is made when you’ve arrived at the destination and can only be done in cash.
